Although XDefiant has just come out on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, players can already dive into the grind with a battle pass. The official first season of the game is not active for over a month. However, to get players in the swing of the game and pick up sweet rewards, a Preseason Battle Pass for XDefiant is available to buy. The XDefiant Preseason Battle Pass is now available for all players to purchase, regardless of platform. The Battle Pass launched the same day as the game itself, both to celebrate the game’s release and to give players some rewards to work towards for the next few weeks. Unfortunately, though, unlike other Battle Passes, such as Helldivers 2, the one for XDefiant does end. Players have 40 days to complete 50 tiers before it goes away.
The XDefiant Preseason Battle Pass is available to buy for 1,000 Xcoins. The currency amount is purchasable from XDefiant’s store for US$9.99 / £7.99 or from your platform of choice’s digital storefront. The price is standard for most games featuring the pass system. It seems as of now, there is no way to freely earn the currency to buy the Battle Pass without fully paying for it.

All Character Skins
Players can unlock 12 new skins for various characters in XDefiant by completing the Preseason Battle Pass. They are for different characters currently spread across three of the four factions in the game. It seems as though the Phantoms faction has no character cosmetics for this pass. The XDefiant Preseason Battle Pass includes only one new weapon: an assault rifle. Additionally, there are 15 different weapons skins to unlock for weapons in the Battle Pass. This may seem like a low amount for new guns, but as this is a Preseason Pass and the game has plenty of weapons to unlock, we will likely get more in the first season of the game. As a bonus, all weapons in the game will be part of the Free Battle Pass track, so players won’t have to purchase currency to unlock them. Below is the weapon included in the pass:

Is the XDefiant Preseason Battle Pass Worth It?
The XDefiant Preseason Battle Pass comes with a great amount of cosmetics for the price it’s offered. Although there are only 50 tiers, players just have over a month to complete it before it swaps to a new one. Additionally, none of the items featured in the Premium track are pay-to-win, so no extra advantages are offered. Players who want to be flashy or spruce up their character have plenty of options if they decide to pick up the Battle Pass in XDefiant. However, those who wish to skip the cosmetics and the Battle Pass will not be left behind and can still get the MDR Assault Rifle by playing.
