Valorant is coming to both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and players may want to play the Console Beta. Here’s how you sign up.
Players on both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S are anxious to play Valorant, Riot’s tactical shooter. It was announced during the Summer Game Fest 2024 event that it was coming to consoles, with a Beta happening before its release. Of course, it’s no surprise that everyone wants a chance to try it out. However, getting into the Valorant Beta isn’t entirely simple. Fortunately, we’ve explained exactly how to get into the Limited Beta for Console.
How to Get Into the Valorant Console Limited Beta
Currently, players only have two ways of gaining access to the Valorant Console Limited Beta Test for Valorant. One of the methods is not a guarantee, while the other takes some luck. We’ve explained both below. Players should note that the test is limited. Therefore, the attendance limit will not be as open. Players wishing to get into the Valorant Closed Beta can try the following methods:
Register for the Official Valorant Closed Beta Test
The first and obvious option is to sign up for the Beta. Players can do so on the official Valorant beta site. Whether you do so through your PSN, Xbox, or Riot Games account, players can register for Beta access. Afterwards, you will be notified by email that you have successfully registered for the Beta. However, the email notes that the signup does not guarantee a spot. Players should check all of their email folders, including their junk or spam, just in case the invitation was sent there.
Referral Link
Players can also join the Valorant Console Beta if they receive a Referral Link. If someone they know is already invited, they will receive a link to send to friends. Once the friend receives the link and follows the steps, they will gain access to the Beta. The original player can send five of these links to their friends. Therefore, if you know someone who has received an invitation, you can get into the Limited Console Beta that way.
When Is the Valorant Limited Console Beta?
The Valorant Console Limited Beta starts on Friday, June 14, 2024. According to the official Console Beta Guide by Riot, the Beta does not currently have an end date. We suspect it will last at least a couple of weeks. Furthermore, the beta will feature all of the core game modes at launch and will add more maps throughout. So, it is possible that players can still gain access to the Beta even after it has started. If this is the case, be sure to always be on the lookout in your email for any invitations.
Valorant coming to consoles is a great surprise. Many players are excited to play the game after seeing its success on PC and they finally will get their chance.
