The next game in the Prince of Persia series has launched into Early Access today, and eager players won’t want to miss out.
The Prince of Persia series has again garnered considerable interest since Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was released earlier this year. Fortunately, Ubisoft is capitalizing on the hype with this newest installment. In the same year as Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown’s release, Ubisoft has launched Early Access to the next installment in the series, The Rogue Prince of Persia.
What Is The Rogue Prince of Persia?
The Rogue Prince of Persia is a fast-paced 2D action-platforming rogue-lite game and another edition of the ever-growing Prince of Persia series. Players will be transported into a mythical version of Ctesiphon, which in the past was the thriving heart of the Persian Empire. Unfortunately, hordes of Huns have infiltrated the city, commanded by the ruthless chief Nogai. The Prince must retaliate as the city is on the brink of annihilation. With each new run and build, you’ll try new paths with allies and try to find the solution to save The Prince’s kingdom and prove his worth to his family.
Players will find themselves on a journey through different biomes. They’ll need to use all of The Prince’s acrobatic abilities to traverse procedurally generated levels. Master platforming challenges with the signature wall run for simple travel over gaps, traps, and enemies. Gather an arsenal of weapons, equip trinkets, and equipment at the Oasis. Most importantly, fight various enemies, such as the Huns, who weald dark shamanic magic and the beasts tainted by this nefarious power.

The Rogue Prince of Persia also features an immersive soundtrack. ASADI, a Persian-American Electronic Music Producer and Performance Artist, has composed an original soundtrack for the game. It is a fusion of traditional and modern sonorities, including satisfying rhythms that support The Prince’s moves and flow. Those interested in OST’s will be happy to know it will be available from Friday, May 31, 2024, on Ubisoft Music and all streaming platforms.
What To Expect During Early Access
While The Rogue Prince of Persia is in Early Access, players can expect abundant content. Early Access includes 8 primary weapons, 6 powerful tools, 30 trinkets, and 2 boss encounters. All available weapons, tools, and trinkets will allow users to create endless combinations and find out what suits their playstyle. Players can expect this content to expand as they get closer to its full 1.0 launch. New levels, bosses, enemies, weapons, and upgrades will become available at regular intervals. Brand new additions based on the community’s feedback will also be added.
It should be noted that while The Rogue Prince of Persia is in worldwide Early Access, it is available to purchase for a 10% discount on Steam for the next 24 hours. Those who are eager to play the game would benefit from purchasing it within this time period. It is unknown when the next sale for The Rogue Prince of Persia may be.
What Platforms Is The Rogue Prince of Persia Available On?
The Rogue Prine of Persia is currently in Early Access exclusively on Steam and GeForce Now. There has been no official information if the roguelike will be coming to Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch. However, it will likely branch out to other platforms after its Early Access launch on PC. Either way, other platform players will need to be patient for an official announcement.
