Players looking to reset their Descendants’ and weapons’ levels in The First Descendant will need to prestige. Fortunately, it’s a very simple process.
Once you’ve reached the max level with a Descendant or weapon in The First Descendant, there’s no point using it anymore. Any EXP you earn with it will be wasted. Fortunately, you can reset their levels back to 1 by using the prestige system. However, the game doesn’t completely explain how this works. Fortunately, we’ve broken down the exact steps for you below to make it as painless as possible.
How to Prestige in The First Descendant
To prestige your Descendants and weapons in The First Descendant, players must reach the max level (currently level 40) and craft a Crystallization Catalyst. Once you’ve met these conditions, you’ll need to head into your Module menu and assign a Module Socket Type to one of the Skill Module slots. This will then reset your Descendant or weapon back to level one.
You can get a Crystallization Catalyst by researching it with Anais in Albion. However, you’ll need to gather a number of materials in order to get it. Additionally, once you’ve gotten the materials, you’ll need to wait 7 and a half hours in order for it to be completed. Alternatively, you can use Caliber to speed up the process. Below is a full list of every material you need to craft the Crystallization Catalyst:
- Murky Energy Residue x 8
- Macromolecule Biogel x 22
- Mixed Energy Residue x 8
- Advanced Neural Circuit x 18
- Crystallization Catalyst Blueprint x 1
Once you’ve researched a Crystallization Catalyst, you’ll need to open your inventory, and select either Descendant Modules or the Module icon next to your equipped weapon. Then, select the Module Additional Settings option, and finally press Assign Module Socket Type. Finally, you’ll need to select a Module Socket Type and place it into one of the Skill Module slots. Hold the Apply Socket Type button until the process is completed, and you’ll have prestiged your Descendant or weapon in The First Descendant.
