The First Descendant is best played with your friends, so it’s important to know how to invite other players to your party. Here’s how you do it.
The First Descendant is a PvE co-op experience at heart, although you can, of course, play solo. So, it makes sense that the process of adding your friends to your party would be as simple as possible. However, for those who can’t wrap their heads around it, or just want to know before hopping on with a mate later on today, here’s everything you need to know.
How to Add Your Friends in The First Descendant
To add your friends in The First Descendant, you must open the map menu (M on PC and Touchpad on PlayStation), switch to the Social tab on the far right, and then enter your friend’s Player ID into the Player Search section. Finally, your friend just needs to look under the Requests section and accept your request. It is a fairly straightforward process that shouldn’t take you too long to do. All you’ll need is your friend’s Player ID to get started. You can locate your own ID by selecting the Social tab and then clicking on the first player under the Local Players section. That is your ID. We’ve broken down the full steps for you below:
- Open the map menu and switch to the Social tab (far right)
- Enter your friend’s Player ID into the Player Search section
- Your friend can locate their ID by selecting the first player under the Local Players section
- Finally, have your friend accept your request under their Requests section
Alternatively, if you want to add a player you’ve met in-game, then all you need to do is press T (on PC) next to them and select the Friend Request option from the menu. This will send them a friend request, which they can then accept from their Social menu.
How to Play With Your Friends in The First Descendant
In order to play with your friends in The First Descendant, you must first beat the game’s prologue and reach Albion. Then, you need to open the Social tab, select your friend’s Player ID under the Friends section, and select Party Invitation. They then just need to accept your invite and will then join your party, allowing you to play together. Here are the full steps:
- Beat the prologue and reach Albion
- Open the Social tab
- Add your friend
- Select your friend’s Player ID under the Friends section
- Select Party Invitation
- Have your friend accept your invite
The prologue shouldn’t take you more than around 20 minutes and will be even shorter if you already know which starting character you’re going to pick, and skip the cutscenes.
