Stellar Blade’s newest update, 1.003, introduces content for both new and returning players, including a new game mode and quality-of-life fixes.
The 1.003 update for Stellar Blade will be available on Friday, May 24, 2024, and will give new and returning players a new challenge to experience. Stellar Blade is finally receiving a handful of new content, including quality-of-life upgrades and improvements, new Nano Suits, and the highly anticipated Boss Challenge Mode. Below, we outline exactly what to expect during the latest update.
Everything Included In The 1.003 Update
Boss Challenge Mode
The new Boss Challenge mode allows players to challenge any of the 19 bosses they have fought in the main campaign once again. Before finishing Stellar Blade, a range of difficulties are available. However, those who have completed the game will have an additional Hard difficulty setting to challenge themselves even further. Those who go into Boss Challenge mode and defeat all 19 bosses on Normal Difficulty or higher will also earn the Neurolink Suit for Eve.
Players will be able to challenge bosses with their own loadout or can choose one of the many presets. These presets range from the maximum, featuring all skills and stats buffed, to the minimum, featuring the bare minimum to survive. Regardless of how you challenge yourself against these bosses once more, it will undoubtedly feature some amazing combat.

It should be noted that once the Boss Challenge Mode has been completed, your battle time will be automatically analyzed. Here, you will have access to your battle time, number of perfect parries/dodges, consumable usage, and more. This means you’ll also be able to compare this information with your friends, challenge each other, and see who has the best skills.
Quality-of-Life Improvements
Stellar Blade’s 1.003 update is also introducing a handful of quality-of-life improvements, enhancing players’ experience as they defeat enemies. The update will allow those who prefer to have the compass always on in the HUD to do so. Along with a behavior change to the lock-on system, those who switch to ranged attack mode and switch back while locked onto an enemy will see Eve lock onto the enemy once again.
Luckily for Eve, the Neurolink Suit is not the only Nano Suit players will have access to after this new update. Two new Nano Suits, named White Kunoichi and Black Kunoichi, have been added, giving players more choices on how they’d like to dress Eve. They will be available to access in-game.
