The extremely long-anticipated game Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl has been delayed again, although not all hope is lost.
It feels like Stalker 2 has been in the works for a lifetime, and yet it’s really almost upon us. However, like all good works of art, it needs a little more time in the oven. Fortunately, its developer, GSC Game World, has a surprise in store for fans to thank them for their patience.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl Delayed Until Late 2024
Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl has been officially delayed again until Wednesday, November 20, 2024. This pushes it back a further two and a half months, or thereabout. Of course, fans eagerly anticipating Stalker 2 are used to this by now, and it seems the developers are, too. GSC Game World posted a video to YouTube poking fun at the new delay, explaining that the delay is to give the developer a “chance to fix more ‘unexpected anomalies’ (or simply ‘bugs’, as you call them).”
Fortunately, it’s not all bad news. The developer also stated that on Monday, August 12, 2024, they will be releasing a Developer Deep Dive, which will give players a “comprehensive understanding” of Stalker 2. This, done in collaboration with Xbox, will feature new content, interviews, and some behind-the-scenes footage for those who appreciate how all the hard work that goes into making a game. GSC Game World stated that this will give fans “a taste of what’s coming.” More details will be shared about exactly when on August 12 this Stalker 2 deep dive will take place.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl looks set to be an enormous experience, so it’s no surprise that the developers have delayed it further.
