Once Human: How to Complete The Unfinished Expedition Quest

The Unfinished Expedition quest in Once Human can be difficult to solve. Fortunately, we have your back on how to complete the whole quest.

Once Human features a vast world for players to traverse. You can encounter various opportunities throughout that world, from side activities like fishing to important quests. One such quest, Unfinished Expedition, while a fetch quest, can seem very challenging in what it asks players to do. Furthermore, it features unique puzzles that tend to be anything but straightforward to complete. Fortunately, we have the details on how to complete the Unfinished Expedition quest in Once Human.

How to Complete The Unfinished Expedition Quest in Once Human

The Unfinished Expedition quest is started by heading to the lighthouse at coordinates (6648, -9999). Players can easily locate it by looking for the landmark to the southeast of Meyer’s Market. A prerequisite to activating the quest, though, is that players must meet the NPC named Maxie. The character is located at Meyer’s Market, so be sure to head there. Upon arriving at the lighthouse, head to the top and click on the Expedition Notes to start the Unfinished Expedition quest. Afterward, players must follow the process below to complete the quest.

Find the Three Rosetta Research Documents in Unfinished Expedition

Document #1 – Environmental Security Records

Once players begin the quest, they must find three documents called Rosetta Research Documents. Players can find the first one in a very straightforward way. It requires players to head to a partially sunken ship out in the water. It is floating just near the dock, and the indicator shows that players can retrieve the document from the front of the ship. If you wish to swim, there are ways to climb up onto the boat. Head to it, and the first document will be available to collect from the front of the ship.

Document #2 – Medical Records

To find the second document, head towards the next quest waypoint; you will come across a hospital. The door is locked and needs a key card. Head outside and to the helipad, and you will face an enemy. Defeat him and take the Rosetta V2 Access Card. Use the new item to unlock the door at the hospital. Once inside, head upstairs and go to the right side. There is a computer that you can interact with. Head over to it and do so.

The computer requires a puzzle to be completed to grant access to the documents. The key to solving this puzzle requires that players use the shapes on the right of the screen to move each circle’s layer. Furthermore, the numbers on the layers must align on the bottom to complete the puzzle. The catch for this puzzle is that spinning the top layer causes the others to rotate. Additionally, moving the other layers also causes the different layers to move. Click the middle icon so that the outer and middle layers are lined up. Then click the top icon to spin them to the bottom section where they must go. Lastly, click the bottom icon to spin the innermost layer to align with the other two. Once that is done, you can obtain the second document.

Document #3 – Army Records

The last document requires players to push onto the army base. Upon entering the base, look for a building with a painting split in two. For reference, the image is of a girl in a garden. The key here is to line up the painting perfectly so that it opens a secret door into the building (as there is no visible entrance). Players should note that sometimes, the image does not trigger fully until the image is perfectly aligned. So, it may take some tries to set it right. After successfully lining up both sides, the image will be replaced with a doorway to walk inside. Upon entering the new room, turn to the right, and on the desks will be a marker indicating the last document, the Army Records you need for the quest. After you have collected all three documents, you must return them to either Claire or Maxie at Meyer’s Market to complete the quest.

That is everything to know about completing the Unfinished Expedition quest in Once Human. The terminal puzzle may seem tricky, but the above solution should help make it a breeze. If you found this article helpful and wish to see more, be sure to visit our Guide Hub on Once Human.
