During the recent PlayStation State of Play, it was announced that Marvel Rivals is finally coming to console, first in a Closed Beta, followed shortly by the full launch.
Players have been on the edge of their seats waiting for an official announcement revealing whether Marvel Rivals will come to console. Now, the day has finally come. During the recent May 2024 State of Play, it was announced that the highly anticipated Marvel Rivals has a Closed Beta coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
When Is Marvel Rivals Coming To Console?
The Marvel Rivals Closed Beta will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S sometime during July 2024. Unfortunately, NetEase did not reveal the specific date for when the Closed Beta will drop. However, they did reveal two new characters coming to their roster: Venom and Adam Warlock. Below, you’ll find the official announcement trailer, which features gameplay of the upcoming characters.
It should be noted that when Marvel Rivals comes to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the game will receive many tests as it will be in Closed Beta. It is unknown how long the Closed Beta will be live until it has had enough refinement for its proper release. Either way, players can get excited to finally be able to grab their controller and experience the thrilling shooter on their preferred console alone or with friends.
Additionally, PlayStation 5 users will receive an exclusive Scarlet Spider costume once Marvel Rivals goes live in July. It is unknown if users will need to purchase this Spiderman costume. However, it is highly likely this is a free welcome gift for those who join the Closed Beta on PlayStation.
