LEGO Horizon Adventures: Is it Couch Co-Op?

Players excited to play LEGO Horizon Adventures with a friend will want to know if it features couch co-op. Here’s what you need to know.

LEGO games and couch co-op feel very synonymous with each other. We all have memories of whacking our friends in LEGO Star Wars or Indiana Jones. It’s not just us, right? So, it’s no surprise that players are wondering whether the upcoming LEGO Horizon Adventures features couch co-op. Fortunately, those who prefer to play with a friend by their side are in luck.

Does LEGO Horizon Adventures Have Couch Co-Op?

Yes, LEGO Horizon Adventures does have couch co-op. You and one other friend can sit side by side and experience the entire campaign together in offline couch co-op. This has been confirmed by the official PlayStation Blog Post published just after the Summer Game Fest announcement.

According to the blog, “LEGO Horizon Adventures has been designed for two-player action without the need for split-screen.” So, players will share the same screen without it dividing. It looks like most locations will be fairly linear, unlike the original game. We can’t imagine players straying too far from each other while fighting robot dinosaurs. Additionally, the blog states that it will provide “an opportunity for family and friends to develop connections through collaborative play.” Sounds perfect for couch co-op enthusiasts looking for their next co-op fix.

Of course, you can still play solo if you want to. Additionally, you can play via online co-op as well as in couch co-op. However, both players will need a PlayStation Plus subscription if they want to play online. That’s everything you need to know about its couch co-op functionality.
