Go-Go Town! Is Coming To Early Access

The chaos-filled city builder Go-Go Town! is finally coming to Early Access with even more features. Here’s everything you need to know.

Those who enjoyed the playtest and demo of Go-Go Town! will be happy to know that it is finally coming to Early Access. In just one week, players will be able to jump into the quirky, chaotic, rundown town and find out just how catastrophic it can be to be mayor.

When Is Go-Go Town! Releasing To Early Access?

Go-Go Town! is launching its Early Access on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, on Steam at 3 am PT/6 am ET/11 am BST/8 pm AEST. It will include a massive variety of new content for players to enjoy and will launch at various times around the world. Go-Go Town! New Additions and Updates

Go-Go Town! has received extensive refinement and expansion since its playtesting days. Those who previously played Go-Go Town! will have an all new experience with the Early Access version. So, whether you’re a returning or new player or playing single-player or co-op, there is something for everyone to enjoy in Go-Go Town! Below is everything new included in Go-Go Town!

  • Expanded Industry: You can harvest mushrooms, use the seafood converter, new processors to help you make cheese, honey, butter, and additional seeds for your farm, and use the new rice paddy option. All of these new options can be used for brand-new recipes in various shops.
  • New Shops: Six new shops, including a fortune-telling shop, gym, and fish and chips shop, are available to add to your town.
  • New Recipes: Check out old and new shops for brand-new recipes with new ingredients.
  • New Décor: New vehicles, vending machines, bollards, telephone booths and even more are now at your disposal.
  • New Tourists: Welcome six new tourist types into your town, including Influencers, Foodies, Fitness-obsessed, Clowns, and more. Cater your town for which ones you’d like to return. Tourists can also join your town through a special request, such as building something, collecting something, or straight up paying them.
  • New and Expanded Areas: Find caves, deserts, and deep forests when exploring, break cracked walls, and see what you find.
  • Weather Events: All kinds of weather is coming, the good, the bad, and the ugly, along with new items and events. Luckily, the weather is predictable, as you’ll be able to see your weather forecast on the Calendar app.
  • Storage Filtering: Players will now be able to choose from 1 – 4 items to go into a storage bin, which your workers will sort through accordingly.
  • Updated Build Mode: Edit and delete are now the same control, décor can now rotate before placing, and there’s a new submenu for benches, trees, and more.
  • Updated AI: NPCs are now less clueless. Workers will prioritize the town’s needs, and couriers will carry multiple items and more.
  • Camera Controls: Zoom in and out and get angeled views.
  • Updated Map: More elements are now available to view, and a filter is now implemented, allowing you to show what you’re invested in and hide what you’re disinterested in.
  • Pacing and Balance: How quickly you move through the tech tree has now been updated, including how easily things will be unlocked, tourist frequency, and overall the gameplay loop experience.
  • Quality of Life Upgrades: Thanks to the community, Go-Go Town! has changed language in certain areas to be clearer, added an un-hire couriers option, building customization and color randomized, and rebinding keys option. Controllers will now also rumble, and you can hold to pick up and drop. Save management has also been added, along with information on your town when loaded.
