XDefiant: How to Send & Recieve High Fives

Players can send and receive high fives in XDefiant, and even earn an achievement for doing so. Here’s how you pull it off.

In XDefiant, players can earn an achievement for sending or receiving 20 high fives. It seems like a fairly easy task, but the game never tells you exactly how to pull it off. Fortunately, whether you’re attempting to get the achievement or just feel like spreading some joy to your fellow teammates, we’ve explained exactly how to high-five in XDefiant below.

How to Do a High Five in XDefiant

High fives in XDefiant are actually just the thumbs up you can give to your teammates and receive from them at the end of a match. To give a player a thumbs-up, you simply need to hover over their name and select the green thumbs-up icon at the end of the match, where you see every player’s stats. It’s that easy.

Of course, this is definitely not clear, as the thumbs-up emote in no way resembles a high five. However, by giving 20 thumbs up, or by getting 20, you’ll get the achievement. It’s worth noting that you can only give one thumbs-up (or high-five) per match. So, you’ll need to play around 20 matches in order to get the achievement. It does track both how many high fives you get and give at the same time, so in theory you only need to give 10 if you get 10.

Finally, it’s important to note that the death reaction emoji does not count as a high-five in XDefiant. This is the reaction you can send to a player after they kill you in a match. You must give the thumbs-up reaction in order for it to count. That’s everything you need to know about getting and receiving a high-five in XDefiant.
