The game introduces new types of Pikmin, like Ice Pikmin and Glow Pikmin, and a new space pup called Oatchi. The game also has upgrades that players can unlock and craft. There is also a new Night Expeditions feature that has not been revealed yet, which includes monsters that become more active at night.
