Developer Triple Topping Games and supporter Kowloon Nights have officially announced the release date of their indie game, Welcome to Elk, on Nintendo Switch.
First released on Steam and Xbox in September of 2020, Welcome to Elk immerses you in true-life stories from the dark and desperate to the weird and wacky. Furthermore, every character on the island has some true story about the road less traveled. With 114 reviews on Steam, the game has managed to gain a very positive review rating (96%) and has won many awards for its storytelling and unique art style. What is Welcome to Elk?
Welcome to Elk starts off on the island, where you play as Frigg, a carpenter who has accepted an apprenticeship away from the big city. Initially, Frigg is worried this might have been one big mistake as she finds the island boring due to her previously busy and outgoing lifestyle. They don’t even have the internet here!
As Frigg meets more people and they share their stories, you learn their drinking routines, follow their ups and downs, and learn the unique ways they handle hard situations. On Elk, it is known that humor, love, and death go hand in hand. So when life throws you a curveball, it’s always followed with laughter.
