Trigger Witch - Feature Image

Twin-Stick Zelda-Like, Trigger Witch, Coming To Console Later This Month

Published worldwide by Eastasiasoft Limited and developed by Rainbite, Trigger Witch, the top-down action-adventure title, has finally received a release date.

Trigger Witch feels like late-night Nintendo. The game’s rather humourous trailer, which you can view here, showcases a lush and vibrant fantasy world not too dissimilar to that of The Legend of Zelda. Only in Trigger Witch, you won’t be using magic or swords. Oh no. Instead, you’ll have a plethora of guns at your disposal to decimate your opponents and turn them into pools of blood and guts. Developed by the folks behind Reverie, this looks to be Enter the Gungeon meets The Legend of Zelda only more fun and with more witches.

Trigger Witch - Gameplay

What Is Trigger Witch?

Trigger Witch is a stylized 2D twin-stick action game set in a vast fantasy open-world. You’ll take on the role of Colette, a prospective graduate from the Stock, an “academy for Witchcraft and Triggery”. I see what you did there. Very clever. You’ll have to save the world from a mysterious man who’s hellbent on invading and destroying everything. At your disposal will be a variety of deadly weaponry ready to be unleashed upon your enemies. Here’s some of what you can expect from Trigger Witch:

  • Explore a vast open world either alone or in local co-op
  • Utilise the various guns at your disposal to dispose of your disposable foes
  • Meet a colourful cast of endearing characters
  • Watch as your screen gets covered in blood and guts as your enemies explode in a glorious bloodbath
  • Solve the various enviromental puzzles scattered across the world and overcome obstacles using everything you’ve got
