Indie developer Baykal Arts has announced their upcoming isometric souls-like hack-and-slash game, Ashen Knights: Foreshadow.
There are so many souls-like games out there, that it can be hard to choose just which one you should play. Fortunately, there are a handful of titles that try and break the mould with a truly unique experience. Ashen Knights: Foreshadow, the debut game of indie studio Baykal Arts, is looking to do just that with its blend of hack-and-slash gameplay and souls-like precision combat. Its lead designer, Deniz, spoke about switching things up and making sure players are never bored.

What Is Ashen Knights: Foreshadow?
Ashen Knights: Foreshadow is a souls-like hack and slash set in a dark fantasy world consumed by the Abyss. You’ll take on the role of two Ashen Knights and will switch between souls-like and hack-and-slash gameplay with each. Through exploring and fighting the corrupted monsters, you’ll uncover the mystery of the Abyss and the very world itself. If you’re in the mood for a gritty mystery and emotional turmoil then look no further than Ashen Knights: Foreshadow. Here is a quick breakdown of some of its best features:

It is due to launch in 2023. However, for those who are excited for this upcoming project, the developers are releasing a free prologue. Ashen Knights: One Passage will allow players to experiment with both characters and explore the world. It is coming out in 2022.
