Since its highly anticipated launch in 2014, The Sims 4 has remained a digital platform where millions of players can immerse themselves in a world of limitless possibilities, both in-game and in real life. The game continues to captivate players around the globe, providing an interactive experience that encourages exploration and connection. Especially while we eagerly await The Sims 5.
In October 2022, The Sims 4 base game became available for free download to new players, resulting in over 16 million new additions to the vibrant Sims community. This has led to a remarkable increase of 53 per cent in average weekly users, showcasing the game’s ever-growing popularity.
The Sims 4 has experienced impressive global growth, with 75 percent of new unique players joining from regions outside of North America, including Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Poland. These players have eagerly embraced the game’s extensive catalog of over 60 packs and kits, immersing themselves in the rich world of The Sims.
One notable trend has been the surge in user-generated content downloads from the in-game gallery, with over 7 million downloads in the past week alone. This showcases the creativity and passion of the community, who continue to contribute to the game’s ever-expanding universe with their unique creations.

The Sims 4 Growing Together is the Most Successful Expansion Pack
The game’s growing user base is evident in the recent successful launch of The Sims 4 Growing Together. This expansion pack is centred around family dynamics, new life stages, and milestones, and has been the most successful launch week in the game’s history. From March 16-23, 2023, Growing Together surpassed sales of any previous expansion pack since the game’s release in 2015.
