Whitethorn Games and Polygon Treehouse are happy to announce their upcoming game, Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island.
This relaxing friend-em-up adventure is set to transport players to a Mediterranean paradise populated by Greek gods and is scheduled to launch on PC and consoles in Q2 2024.
Dr Matthew White, CEO of Whitethorn Games, expressed his support for the extended development timeline, emphasising the company’s commitment to nurturing the true creative visions of their developers.
What is Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island?
In Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island, players assume the role of Alex, a stranded backpacker who finds herself on the shores of Ambrosia Island.
As Alex explores her surroundings, she uncovers that while the island is home to Greek gods, they have lost their memories. In order to find her way back home, Alex must befriend the gods and assist them in regaining their identities.
Here is what you can expect from Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island:
- Encounter an array of gods, including Ares, Athena, Hermes, Hades, and more. Players will utilise the Ambrosidex to track down each deity.
- Use the Ambrosidex’s radar signal to uncover lost godly treasures scattered throughout the island. Return these treasures to their rightful owners, reigniting their memories and unravelling the island’s destiny.
- Engage in exploration, examine objects, and converse with other characters to unlock new conversation topics. Building friendships with the gods may reveal crucial information for Alex’s adventure, although specific topics require earning their trust.
- Immerse yourself in a non-linear and emotionally charged story that highlights the significance of friendship, family, and community.
