Miles and Hailey kissing in the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 post-credit scene

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Post-Credits Explained

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has two post-credit scenes, both of which tease a lot of upcoming events in future games.

The Marvel movies, TV shows, and games are famous for their post-credit scenes that tease upcoming events. Fortunately, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has not just 1 but 2 different post-credits, one of which reveals a huge new character coming to the series. Below, we explain both post-credits scenes and what they could mean for the future of the series.

This article contains spoilers for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 First Post-Credits Scene Explained

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s first post-credit scene teases the introduction of Cindy Moon, aka the superhero Silk, as well as finally cementing Miles and Hailey’s romantic relationship. During the first post-credit scene, we see Miles and Hailey finally kissing after teasing their romance throughout the game. Then, they welcome Rio’s date, Albert Moon, and his daughter, Cindy Moon, into their flat.

Cindy Moon is actually another Spider-Person who goes by the superhero name of Silk. She was bitten by the same radioactive spider that turned Peter Parker into Spider-Man and is given roughly the same powers as him. The main difference is that she is slightly weaker but significantly faster than Spider-Man, and her version of Spider-Sense, called Silk-Sense, is even stronger.

Of course, this post-credits scene is teasing the introduction of Cindy Moon into the Marvel’s Spider-Man universe, who will either get her own spin-off game like Miles did or will appear in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Second Post-Credits Scene Explained

During the second post-credits scene in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Norman Osborne visits Doc Ock in the Raft prison and demands he tell him the identities of the Spider-Men. Doc Ock then tells him that he’s writing the “Final Chapter”, a possible reference to the comic book story featuring the Green Goblin by the same name.

In 1998, there were 2 series of Spider-Man comics titled The Gathering of the Five and The Final Chapter that saw Norman Osborn attempt to collect 5 artifacts that, when combined, promised to give their collectors either a great power or a curse. During this series, it was also revealed that Aunt May had not died but was alive and being held hostage by the Green Goblin (Norman Osborn).

However, while it isn’t likely that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 will be based on this series, it could take elements from it. For example, at the end of the Final Chapter series, Peter gives up being Spider-Man, which he also does at the end of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Additionally, it is clear that Norman will turn into the Green Goblin and become the main villain in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.
