Does Spider-Man 2 Have New Game Plus?

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 offers a robust campaign, but is there a New Game Plus mode to try once you’ve completed it?

New Game Plus modes allow players to transfer all of their hard-earned progress into a new save. This makes a second playthrough not only a little easier but also allows you to focus on certain elements you may have missed in your first playthrough. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 features a lot of side content that players may want to do in a second playthrough. But does it have a New Game Plus mode to help with that?

Does Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Have a New Game + Mode?

No, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 does not have a New Game Plus mode at launch. If you want to start a new save after beating the game, you will have to start from scratch and cannot carry over any of your progress. However, you will unlock the Ultimate Difficulty mode upon beating the game, which makes the game substantially harder.

This is a surprise, as the previous game in the series, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, did include a New Game Plus mode in which players could transfer some of their progress into a new save. However, it seems like it wasn’t possible to get the mode into the game at launch for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

It is worth noting that Marvel’s Spider-Man got a New Game + mode in update 1.07 on October 19, 2018. This was just over a month after its initial launch on September 7, 2018. It is possible that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will get a New Game + mode after launch; however, this remains unconfirmed.
