During today’s Playstation Showcase 2021, Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal revealed a brand new story trailer for their upcoming game Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
The new trailer shows Grand Unifier Raker bringing the Guardians to the Universal Church of Truth, where they witness the mysterious Matriarch perform a cult-like ritual. The Raker states that the Matriarch can supposedly end all grief and suffering. However, things seem to go spectacularly sideways. The Guardians of the Galaxy will have to step up, and well… save the Galaxy!
The trailer also introduces more characters including Xandarian Worldmind and an adorable telepathic space dog called Cosmo!

What Is Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy?
In this video game adaptation of the successful film series and original comic book concept, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is set in the wake of an epic conflict known as the Galactic War. It will follow the popularised characters Star-Lord, Drax, Gamora, Rocket and Groot.
The game takes clear inspiration from Marvel’s Avengers, also published by Square Enix, just without the cooperative play and live service aspect. From previous gameplay trailers, it seems like players take control of Star-Lord. Additionally, they will also be able to command other party members to perform actions on the fly.
Release Date & Price
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will release on October 26 2021, for PC, Playstation, and Xbox. It will cost $59.99 USD. A Cloud Version is also coming to the Nintendo Switch in select regions as well. You can preorder it now and receive the Throwback Guardians Outfit Pack.
