Little Nemo And The Nightmare Fiends Coming To Switch With Your Help!

Little Nemo And The Nightmare Fiends is an intriguing and visually distinct platformer that’s proposed to launch on the Nintendo Switch and Steam in 2022, should it reach its Kickstarter goal.

Based on Winsor McCay’s 1905 comic strip Little Nemo in Slumberland, Little Nemo And The Nightmare Fiends is a gorgeous, painstakingly animated platformer that looks to add a little dreamlike flair to the genre. Developers Pie for Breakfast Studios and PxlPlz launched their Kickstarter project back on March 2nd and have already reached $20,279/£14,650. Since it launched on Kickstarter, it has gone on to garner much critical praise. Even on its very first day of being on Kickstarter, Kickstarter themselves labelled it a “Project We Love”. Its goal is $70,000/£50,570, which will see the game launch on both Steam and the Nintendo Switch. Should it reach upwards of $350,000 then the developers have promised to port the title to PlayStation and Xbox!

What Is Little Nemo And The Nightmare Fiends?

Little Nemo And The Nightmare Fiends is an upcoming non-linear platformer in which the player controls four characters. These characters can be switched out instantaneously, and each have their own unique ability. Using them in collaboration with one another will allow the player to successfully progress through the game’s challenging puzzles and fights. You’ll also go up against some wonderfully designed bosses. Visually, it reminds me of Spiritfarer, especially with its gorgeous animations. It’s always refreshing to see passion and effort put into a title, and it’s clear the developers clearly care about their title and the original source material! Here’s everything you can expect to see when Little Nemo And The Nightmare Fiends launches:

  • Explore a magical dreamland as Nemo and his friends Flip the clown, Peony the royal guard and Slumberland’s very own Princess.
  • Switch between any of the four characters seamlessly to utilise their abilities efficiently
  • Behold the beautiful hand-drawn animations that bring the magical world of Slumberland to life
  • Fight against some ferocious nasties and nightmarish bosses
