Cosy Life Sim ‘Hokko Life’ Coming To Steam Early Access This June

Team17 and Wonderscope Games have announced that their Animal Crossing-esque community sim, Hokko Life, is finally releasing into Steam Early Access next month.

When Animal Crossing: New Horizons launched back in March of 2020, we were all elated. Now, our islands have been abandoned, engulfed by a rapid influx of pesky weeds. So, for all of you feeling bad that your poor villagers are left watching your character’s body lay still for eternity, don’t worry. Team17 and developer Wonderscope Games are releasing their much anticipated cosy community sim Hokko Life into Steam Early Access next month. You’ll now have the opportunity to hop into a new town, meet new friends and build a new life for yourself. Your old villagers will be distant memories before you know it.

What Is Hokko Life?

Hokko Life is a cosy community sim in which the player has pretty much full control over the personalisation of their town. Everything from what kind of wallpaper you have to the size and position of the cushions on your chair can be altered. If obsessing over tiny little details is your thing, then Hokko Life has you covered. However, if you’re looking for a more laid back experience then fear not. You’ll be able to meet the residents of Hokko, lounge by the riverbed and fish, or venture out and catch some critters. Here’s some of what you can expect in Hokko Life when it launches later next month:

  • Explore the town of Hokko and meet your fellow residents
  • Use the workshop and 3D design tool to control every aspect of Hokko
  • Everything can be edited from the colour, type of fabric and position of each piece of furniture
  • Share your designs with people from all across the world or your best friend next door
  • Chill out and spend your time reeling in the fish or catching bugs as they scurry around
