Developer Squid Shock Studios is seeking support for their upcoming Metroidvania game, Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus, via Kickstarter.
Taking inspiration from games such as Hollow Knight and Okami, Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus is a Metroidvania-platformer hybrid, with a unique hand-drawn style. In order to assist with the development of their unique and absolutely gorgeous game, developer Squid Shock Studios launched a Kickstarter a few days ago. They also released a brand new trailer for the game to coincide with the Kickstarter campaign.

What is Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus?
Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus is an adventure game with a big emphasis on its platforming and Metroidvania elements. The game has a beautiful hand-drawn 2.5D style and is set in a world based on Japanese folklore. You play as an adorable fox spirit that, after being blessed by a god, grows from a lotus blossom. Here is some of what you can expect when it launches:

Release Info & Kickstarter Campaign
The game’s Kickstarter campaign is currently live. You can head on over to its page to see how you can support it. There are numerous tiers you can select from, with the lowest being the $20 Hitodama tier that gets you the game and your name in the credits.
The game itself is due to release in Q2 2023 through Steam, Itch.io and Switch (so long as it reaches its stretch goal). You can wishlist the game now via its Steam store page to be notified of any future updates.
