Developer IllFonic and publisher Sony Pictures have launched pre-orders for the upcoming asymmetrical multiplayer, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed.
IllFonic has some experience with multiplayer games, with Arcadegeddon and Predator Hunting Grounds under their belt. Additionally, they have provided support for projects like Evolve and Friday The 13th The Game. It will be interesting to see how they leverage the Ghostbuster franchise with the 4v1 competitive style when the game releases later this year.
What is Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed?
In Spirits Unleashed, players can choose to join a team of four ghost hunters, or play the opposition as a single ghost. As a ghost, your goal is to frighten and scare the masses to raise the Global Haunt percentage. As a result, you can possess objects, summon minions, and position rifts around the map to teleport and spawn. Meanwhile, as the busters, it’s up to you to track down ghostly activity and put a stop to their activities. Thus, you will use iconic tools like the P.K.E Meter, Particle Thrower, and ghost trap to prove you are not afraid of no ghosts!

You can pre-order Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed now for Playstion 4|5, Xbox X|S, Xbox One, and PC on Epic Games Store. The game is currently listed for an October 18th release of this year.
