Genshin Impact’s Version 1.5 Changes

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world gacha RPG that brings players to the stunning world of Teyvat. If you are new to the game or unfamiliar with it, you can check out our beginner guide here.

New Story

The latest update, version 1.5, introduces new quests, characters, enemies, and the ability to make a home in Genshin Impact. Those interested in Liyue’s history can continue to play it out with the second installment of Zhongli’s story quest. Players will also be able to continue the story with Noelle and start a new Hangout Event featuring Diona, the popular bartender of The Cat’s Tail.

New Characters

Two new playable characters will be available in version 1.5: Eula and Yanfei.

Eula is the Spindrift Knight and Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company. She is a five-star character who wields a claymore and the power of Cryo.

Yanfei is the other character featured in the new update. She is a young, half-human, half-illuminated-beast who dedicates her life to studying, interpreting, and advising her clients on Liyue’s laws. Yanfei is a four-star Pyro-using catalyst wielder.

New Enemies

The latest update brings two new enemies to the world of Teyvat. The first, Azhdaha, the “Lord of Vishaps,” is a new Trounce Domain opponent who offers rare rewards for those daring enough to take him on. He has fierce attacks, uses multiple elements, and can alter the battlefield.

miHoYo will also add a new enemy to the Dragonspine Domain. The Cryo Hypostasis will be the latest edition of the Hypostasis series, which provides precious resources when defeated, including Character Level-Up Materials.

Create Your Own Home in Genshin Impact

Version 1.5 introduces player-built homes. This is accessible with a new item: the Serenitea Pot. Inside this special teapot is a realm where players can build and decorate their own homes. Different house and realm styles will be available, each with plenty of outdoor recreation and indoor luxury.

There will also be some minor gameplay improvements in the next update. The cost of claiming the first three Trounce Domain rewards per week will be halved, and the Companionship EXP earned in Co-Op Mode will be doubled.

You can download Genshin Impact for free on PC, PS4, PS5, Android, and iOS as you look forward to the latest update on April 28, 2021.
