Fallout 76 Has Outlined its Plans For 2022, With Updates Every Season

Bethesda Game Studios is proud to announce the 2022 content roadmap for their post-nuclear RPG, Fallout 76.

Fallout 76 hasn’t had the best reputation since its release in 2018. Fortunately, it’s starting to turn into a bit of a No Man’s Sky situation with all the updates. Throughout 2022, players will be treated to four updates; one every season. Here is the full breakdown:

Spring (ANZ Autumn)

The next Fallout 76 patch will arrive soon with a new seasonal event, “Invaders From Beyond”. This event will involve the entire map, and introduce UFO appearances and aliens. Players must defeat the invaders and destroy Brainwave Siphons before they complete their “research”; sounds creepy.

This patch will also introduce improvements and changes to Fallout Worlds. This includes the ability to earn S.C.O.R.E. on daily and weekly challenges, new settings for C.A.M.P. buildings, PvP settings, disabling VATS, and Legendary Perks.

Summer (ANZ Winter)

The “Test Your Metal” update will come in Summer (ANZ Winter) and offer three public events: Test Your Metal, Eviction Notice, and Moonshine Jamboree. Fallout 1st (premium) members will receive scoreboard improvements, like exclusive challenges, increased S.C.O.R.E. earn rate, and exclusive board ranks.

Fall (ANZ Spring)

“Expeditions: The Pitt” arrives in Fall (ANZ Spring) and will introduce a new way to play the game. Players will travel outside of Appalachia for the first time by accessing a hub in Whitespring. The update brings repeatable off-site Missions that will reap rewards for the player. You’ll also meet new NPCs with quests and dialogue trees, and Trogs will make their first appearance since Fallout 3.

Winter (ANZ Summer)

In Winter (ANZ Summer), the Nuka-World on Tour is coming to the Ash Heap region of Appalachia. This travelling roadshow will provide players with more Public Events, including a new Region Boss Public Event. Players can earn loot, explore the grounds, and interact with new NPCs to learn more about the show.

Fallout 76 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Microsoft Windows and Steam. If you want the cheapest price on Steam, you can pick up a key from Fanatical!
