Epic 2D Sandbox RPG, Keplerth, Is Leaving Early Access Later This Month

Developer TARO and publisher Gamera Games have announced that their hit 2D sandbox RPG, Keplerth will be leaving Steam Early Access later this month.

Keplerth, seemingly the debut title by indie developer TARO, launched onto Steam Early Access way back in 2018. Since then it has enjoyed a series of steady updates alongside widespread critical acclaim. It currently sits at an 89% very positive score across 1,112 user reviews. Now, after years of development, the game is finally ready to leave Early Access.

You can check out a trailer for the game here.

What Is Keplerth?

Keplerth is a 2D RPG sandbox game that sees players desperately trying to survive on randomly generated hostile planets. Think Rimworld but even more indie. The game includes farming, fighting, dungeons, factions, solo and multiplayer options as well as a unique gene-editing mechanic. You can customise your character to your heart’s content all while taming alien creatures and so much more. To say that Keplerth has a lot going on is a huge understatement. Fortunately, we’re here to break it all down for you. Here is just some of what you can expect when it leaves Early Access:

  • Play alone or with friends in this huge 2D sandbox experience
  • Take on other factions, explore dungeons and tame wild aliens to do your bidding
  • Manage an ever-growing farm to help you survive on unforgiving planets
  • Explore randomly generated planets that are unique to each playthrough
  • Edit your own genes to extensively customise your own character
