Elden Ring Delayed, Announces Closed Network Test in November

Elden Ring has officially been delayed by From Software, but there will be a participative Closed Network Test in November.

Previously planned to release on 22 January 2022, the game has been delayed a month until 25 February 2022. According to a tweet by the official Twitter account, “the depth and strategic freedom of the game exceeded initial expectations.” Therefore, the delay will give the developers added time to polish the final product.

Closed Network Testing

Fortunately, there was some good news as well. Alongside the delay, From Software announced that there will be a closed network testing of Elden Ring in November.

The network testing will allow the developer to test out the game’s multiplayer component. The Elden Ring Closed Network Test will be playable throughout the weekend of November 12-15 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The playable periods are subject to three-hour blocks:

  • November 12: 12:00 to 15:00 CET
  • November 13: 4:00 to 7:00 CET
  • November 13: 20:00 to 23:00 CET
  • November 14: 12:00 to 15:00 CET
  • November 15: 4:00 to 7:00 CET

You can sign up now on the official Bandai Namco website. Unfortunately, there is no information on Closed Network Testing for PC at this time.

Elden Ring will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam on February 25, 2022.
