Dungeon Masters Challenge
D&D Celebration 2021 is looking to make September one very exciting month! But for those who don’t know, the D&D Celebration is an online gaming event open to fans all over the world.
This year, celebrate the release of The Wild Beyond the Witchlight with a weekend of Feywild-themed virtual play sessions. The event will also feature previews and sneak peeks at upcoming products; as well as tips and tricks from the community around Dungeons & Dragons.
But that’s not all! Kicking off on June 17th 2021 at 12:00 PM (PT), the Dungeon Master Challenge is certainly not one to miss.
Here’s How It Will Work:
- On 17th June 2021, a 72-hour open call for submissions will open, including the announcement of the design theme that contestants should follow. Following that, there will be a submission deadline of June 20, 2021, at 12:00 PM (PT).
- Of all the submissions, the top 10 will be chosen to continue onto stage 2: the gauntlet. The 10 finalists will be announced at D&D LIVE on July 16-17, 2021.
- From there, the finalists will compete in weekly challenges from July 22, 2021. Each week, the competitors will be given additional design and submission guidelines, and the one or two with the lowest overall score will be eliminated.
- When only three remain, we reach stage three: the final! These contestants will be assigned a final challenge on September 2, 2021, with the winner being announced live during the D&D Celebration broadcast on September 26, 2021.
The winner will receive an exclusive trophy, an exciting suite of D&D DM products, and a feature in the Dragon+ magazine!
If you’re thinking of entering, check out the official competition page, here, for more information including the terms and conditions.
So, with that, our Week of Legend Lore draws to a close. We hope you’ve enjoyed all these announcements, but if you missed any, here’s our rundown of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday!
