Dokyuu Hentai HxEros: Episode 1 – Mini Review

Dokyuu Hentai HxEros Header

Dokyuu Hentai HxEros is an erotic, poorly written anime that struggles between telling a compelling story and blatantly obvious sexual references.

The world is being attacked by aliens and the only thing standing between them and their goal are teen super heroes who gain super powers when they think about lewd things. Childhood friends, Enjou Retto and Hoshino Kirara, are caught in a battle against a “Censor Bug” that feeds on human’s sexual energy to evolve. Using their ‘Erotic’ Powers they defeat the enemy and join a band of heroes who utilise the erotic power of the HxEROS force to fight off monsters.

They also lose their clothes whenever they fight. You can guess what kind of show this is.

Positives

At the beginning of the episode the main characters are introduced as children. This was kind of neat. The explanation for the HxEros name was also quite satisfying (H are men heros and Eros are the females).

Negatives

Everything else. The writing is bad, the premise is silly and nonsensical, and trying to pronounce HxEros without gagging is more entertaining than this show. The main girl is one of the most insufferable misandrists I’ve seen, and her reason for being this way is even worse. It’s trashy pointless nonsense.

Summary

Overall, Dokyuu Hentai HxEros falls short in every way. Any goodwill this show could have retained was thrown out the window by the end of the episode. The justification for the main girl hating men is because an alien creature told her she was too dirty-minded when she was in grade school. So she decided to double down on not being sexy by hating men. No, thank you next!

I plan to watch the first episode of every new show that is coming out this season. If you want to know what to watch, and what to stay away from, follow this series.
