Does Venom Die in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?

Venom is one of the primary antagonists in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but does he die at the end of the game?

While Kraven serves as the central antagonist in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, it is Venom, working in the shadows, who serves as the true villain. You’ll come face to face with him on more than one occasion, albeit controlling different people. However, at the top of everyone’s minds is whether or not this evil alien gets what’s coming to him. Below, we explain exactly what happens to Venom by the end of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and whether or not he dies.

This article contains spoilers for the end of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and The Flame side quest.

Does Venom Die in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?

Yes, Venom does die at the end of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. After defeating Venom in the Emily May Foundation building, both Spider-Men successfully rid Harry of the Venom Symbiote, freeing him but killing him in the process. The Venom Symbiote is then seen disintegrating, disappearing forever.

Of course, there are other Symbiotes out there, as seen in The Flame side quest. During that side quest, The Flame, also known as Cletus Kasady, gets his hands on the Carnage Symbiote. It is possible that more exist out there, as it is implied that Oscorp has more stockpiled somewhere.

So, while this version of the Venom Symbiote is gone, it’s possible that another could spring up and take over Eddie Brock, who is the most famous host of Venom in the comics. However, the likelihood is that Venom is probably gone for good in the Marvel’s Spider-Man video game series.

Of course, there’s plenty to do now that you’ve seen the end of the game, so make sure to check out our Games Hub for all the latest news and guides on Marvel Spider-Man 2.
