Brawlhalla Announces Year Seven With US$1.3 Million Prize Pool

Ubisoft has announced the details for Brawlhalla Esports Year Seven, which will feature an enormous prize pool of US$1,320,000.

Brawlhalla is a free-to-play fighting game that feels almost like a Viking mashup of Super Smash Bros. You can choose from over 50 different characters in single-player and co-op modes, online or locally. The game also supports complete cross-platform play, so you never have to worry about not being able to play with friends.

Players will compete in 1v1 and 2v2 matches during online Seasonal Championships in Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn. The season begins with the Winter Championship on January 28, and players from across the world can compete. The matches will be streamed on both Twitch and YouTube. Furthermore, Year Seven will also offer plenty of unique pro player invitationals. In February, the OMEN Oasis Online Championship will the highest Power Rankings players from North America and Europe against each other in the halls of Valhalla. There will also be another competition that will see the top 32 players in the worldwide Power Rankings compete at the Mid-Season Invitational Championship in June 2022.

The seventh annual Brawlhalla World Championship (BCX) will occur after the competitive season concludes in November. It will feature the largest prize pool that a fighting game has ever seen; US$500,000. Moreover, it is open to everyone, regardless of their ranking. There will be more details in the coming months.

Finally, there will also be new additions to Brawlhalla‘s esports ecosystem, with improved Viewership Rewards, and an official online Japanese tournament. As always, more details will be shared in the future.

Brawlhalla is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android. The game also offers cross-platform play.
